Showtime Speedway's Unique Competition Brings Drifting to Life

On June 10th, 2024, Showtime Speedway hosted a truly unique competition that went beyond the usual drifting challenges. This event focused on engaging the crowd and showcasing the fun and versatility of drifting.

The competition kicked off with a smoke show. Drivers utilized the full track, skirting close to the walls, creating massive clouds of smoke, and putting on a spectacular show for the audience. Following that, drivers took on the parking challenge, performing two donuts around cones and then executing a close-proximity parallel park, all while drifting. The winner was the driver who parked closest within the designated space.

A break in the middle allowed spectators to ride along with the drivers, giving them a firsthand experience of the thrill of drifting. The event concluded with a tandem section, where drivers showcased their synchronized drifting skills.

Each aspect of the competition was graded individually, and points were tallied to determine the winners. This unique format brought a refreshing twist to the sport, catering to a diverse audience.

Team driver Tyler Moffat (@moffmandritz) took home first place, and Brian Boccia (@brianboccia32) secured third place. Both drivers delivered outstanding performances and represented their team, @Team_no_Tread, with pride. Check out their Instagram pages to see their victory celebrations!
